PURPOSEFUL ENGAGEMENT

While the New York State Standards and the Common Core State Standards  provide a guide for WHAT a child should learn in school, they do not address the HOW... and the HOW is important!  We know that children don't learn well if they are not engaged in the learning process, and as educators, we are always looking for new models and methods to help students connect to their learning.

Sound. Clear. Direct. The CNY Education Conference is focusing on the "Rules of Engagement" this summer, with presenters from Idaho to North Carolina to our own backyard who bring a host of strategies for engaging the children in your classroom. We have carefully crafted these days to include presenters with expertise in engaging students of all ages and of all types — including the ADHD student, the special needs student, the AP student, and even the “average” student.

In addition to providing you with new ideas, the Sound. Clear. Direct. conference offers an opportunity to meet and share with your colleagues and to engage in critical conversations.

We hope that you will join us!
